Hi there! I'm Erin.
I am a graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and majored in Biomedical Engineering with a second major in the Innovation and Design Programme (IDP). Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant the at Engineering Design and Innovation Centre in NUS. This portfolio is a record of my opportunities to design and create, which allowed me to learn, practice and make meaningful innovations.
As a design engineer, I am always thinking of how to make products or processes more efficient and effective. The best part of designing is the ability to improve people's lives with a simple product. That is my goal as a design engineer, to serve as many people as possible, thus I have an added interest in healthcare and sustainability products. I love being hands-on in my work and being involved throughout the entire process, from understanding my user's pains and needs, to designing the product and doing user testing with them. Each product made is a journey that challenges me to be innovative and that is what I enjoy most about design!
